The eighth-grade Lake Tahoe School volleyball team recently capped a 9-1 season by winning a large-school tournament sponsored by the Optimist Club in South Lake Tahoe and winning the consolation bracket at the Tah Neva Tournament in Carson City.

The Bobcats team, which includes seventh- and eighth-grade girls, defeated large eighth-grade-only teams including Carson Middle, the formerly undefeated Pau Wau Lu, Eagle Valley, South Lake Tahoe and friendly cross-town rival Incline Middle during these tournaments.

Leading the LTS girls during their historic season were team captains Kate Tong and Kenzie Davidson, supported by veteran players Clara Arcais-Weiss and Fiona Ritchie, and newcomers Serena Faulkner and Olivia Schneider. Seventh-grade contributors were Roxanne Reed, Millie Jenkins, Jada Moore, Jesse Morris and Brenda Martinez-Ruiz.
