Michelle Hoehn, Kelly Hester voted to All-State basketball teams

Truckee senior Michelle Hoehn was voted to the 3A All-State first team, while North Tahoe senior Kelly Hester made the 2A All-State second team.

Selections were voted on by the 3A and 2A coaches whose teams advanced to their respective state tournaments.

Most Valuable Player: Caiti Forrester, Boulder City

First team: Truckee utility player Michelle Hoehn, Lowry guard Morgan Thacker, Moapa Valley guard Caley Dunlap, Yerington forward Kayla Lommori, Spring Creek forward Lacy Rider, Virgin Valley center Rachel Morris.

Second team: Boulder City center Karlee Koopman, Spring Creek guard Teagan Tolden, Fernley guard Jayme King, Spring Creek forward Mary Suing, Virgin Valley forward Ellie Biasi and Lowry utility player Skyler Estes.

Player of the Year: Alex Chandler, Needles
