North Tahoe hoops: Laker girls take down Silver Stage

The Laker girls defeated Silver Stage 38-22 in a Northern 2A league game at home on Tuesday.

With the win North Tahoe improved to 1-2 in league play and 4-9 overall.

North Tahoe sophomore Samantha Jeffers recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Lakers against the Nighthawks.



The Lakers led throughout, taking an 8-3 advantage by the end of the first quarter, leading 19-7 at the half and 30-10 after three quarters.

In the boys’ game, Michael McDonald scored 21 points to lead Silver Stage past the Lakers, 55-39. The Laker boys are now 3-7 overall and 0-2 in league play.
