North Tahoe softball | Lakers begin 2012 campaign with 3-1 start

The North Tahoe softball team opened the season with wins in three of its first four games in the Yerington Tournament this past weekend.

The Lakers defeated Smith Valley 15-13 on Friday before eking out a 13-12 win against a non varsity opponent the same day.

On Saturday, the Lakers bounced back from a 17-0 loss to Lone Pine with a 17-7 win over Coleville to end the tournament.



Senior third baseman Tannyr Pasvantis led North Tahoe offensively, as she hit .714 in the two-day tourney with four doubles and 10 RBIs.

Juniors Brittany Zeddies hit .600 and Meghen Grijalva hit .570 to contribute to the 3-1 start.
