Prep snowboarding | Esson, Bolt lead teams in Boreal slalom

Truckeeand#8217;s Blair Esson and North Tahoeand#8217;s Kenna Bolt posted top-three finishes to lead the Wolverines and Lakers in the penultimate CNISSF race of the regular season Monday at Boreal.
Team results were not tabulated.
Bolt led the Laker girls with a third-place finish in the slalom race. She posted a two-run combined time of 1:09.82 as Nelly Steinhoff of Colfax again took the win in a time of 1:08.29.
Truckeeand#8217;s Ruby Wood finished fourth in 1:12.78 and was followed by teammates Ariah Curtis (1:13.85) and Shauna Day (1:15.95) in fifth and sixth, respectively. Truckeeand#8217;s Nichole Graham and Wynter Lim were 16th and 17th.
The Lakersand#8217; Roxy Schumann finished seventh in a time of 1:18.00, Courtney Peters was 12th in 1:29.61, Brie Dubuc was 20th, Sierra Aildasani 28th and Dana McConnell 29th.
In the boysand#8217; race, Esson finished runner-up to Jacob Peek of Placer High, posting a two-run combined time of 1:07.19 to Peekand#8217;s 1:05.87. Esson was trailed by Truckee teammate Dustin McQuary, who was eighth in 1:17.21, as well as Luke Smith in 22nd and Guillermo Espinoza in 41st.

For the Lakers, Nash Baehr led the way with a 13th-place finish in 1:19.78, while North Tahoeand#8217;s Brandon Hayakawa, Garrett McDermott and Konrad Przybyslawski were 15th, 16th and 17th, respectively.
