Consistency across the board helped lead the North Tahoe snowboard team to a combined team win in a CNISSF giant slalom race at Northstar on Monday.

Led by Konrad Przybyslawski and Kenna Bolt, the Laker boys’ and girls’ teams both finished third among the seven California schools to capture the combined win with 471 points to runner-up Davis’ 464.

Truckee’s girls, led by Ruby Wood’s third place, took the win ahead of Davis by a score of 249 points to 240, while the North Tahoe girls finished on Davis’ heels with 239 points.

Colfax won the boys’ team competition, posting 257 points to Placer’s 245 and North Tahoe’s 232. Truckee’s boys, who had only three racers, tied for last with 135 points, which pulled the Wolverines’ combined result down to sixth place (384).

Truckee also dropped from second place to fourth in the season standings, with 1,793 points, while North Tahoe moved from third to second in the standings with 1,836 points. Davis continues to lead the Central II Division with 1,901 points.

Individually, Wood posted the top result between the Wolverines and Lakers, as she finished third with a two-run combined time of 1:39.84. Drew Bernadett of Nevada Union won in 1:35.99 and Nelly Steinhoff of Colfax was second in 1:37.51.

Truckee’s Ariah Curtis finished fourth in 1:44.90, while Bolt led the Lakers with a sixth-place finish in 1:49.43 and teammates Roxy Schumann and Courtney Peters were eighth and ninth, respectively, in 1:52.26 and 1:53.12.

Shauna Day of Truckee finished 11th in 1:58.06, while fellow Wolverines Karen Corral placed 17th, Nichole Graham 19th and Sofie Maciel 20th. The Lakers’ Sierra Aildasani was 22nd and Brie Dubuc was 23rd.

On the boys’ side, Jacob Peak of Placer claimed the win in a time of 1:37.61 and was followed by two Colfax racers in the top three.

Przybyslawski finished fourth to lead the Laker contingent, posting a time of 1:43.93. Brandon Hayakawa was the next North Tahoe finisher, in 14th in a time of 1:55.01, while teammates Nash Baehr and Garrett McDermott were 16th and 18th, respectively, and Evan Davis was 23rd.

Casey Curtis finished sixth in 1:47.76 to pace the Truckee boys. Truckee’s Dustin McQuary was 20th and Guillermo Espinoza 52nd.
