Prep volleyball | Truckee wins in three at North Tahoe

Truckee defeated North Tahoe in straight sets on the road Friday night, 25-10, 25-10, 25-13.

Truckee is now 24-4 overall and 6-0 in Mount Rose League play. North Tahoe is 3-3 in the Mount Rose League and 6-14 overall.

Truckee assistant coach Kim Thomas said the Wolverines played well together, passing with a rating of 2.0, which contributed to Truckee’s dynamic offense. Every Truckee player had pass ratings greater than 1.7, which was a first for the Wolverines this season, Thomas said.



Annie Reiswig led the team in kills with 14, followed by Kiersten Knoppel with seven. Allison Costa returned to play after being ill and contributed a team-high two blocks. Jillian Akers had 16 assists, followed by Brittany Thomas with five. Five players on the team served at 100 percent: Akers, Costa, Thomas, Reiswig and Katie Mohun.

Krysta Murphy and Knoppel had the most serves with 19 each. Murphy led the team in aces with five. Akers and Costa each had four aces.
