NBC to air Rahlves Banzai TourTold through the lens of filmmaker Teton Gravity Research, NBC will broadcast the recently concluded Rahlves Banzai Tour on Tuesday, March 27 at 10 p.m. In conjunction, Red Bull will host a viewing party at Moodyandamp;#8217;s Bistro Bar andamp; Beats in Truckee beginning at 9 p.m. The night will include Red Bull specials, brick oven pizza and a free Banzai T-shirt for all who show up. Call 530-587-8688 for more info.3-on-3 basketball tournamentTahoe City Parks and Recreation will host the inaugural March Madness 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at North Tahoe High School. The entry fee for the tournament is $30 per team, with a maximum of four players per team. The tournament will feature a Round Robin format with a guaranteed three games. Call 530-583-3440 to register.Tahoe Braves seeking playersThe Tahoe Braves baseball team is looking for former college-level players, at least 18 years of age, residing the Tahoe-Truckee area. The Braves belong to the Reno-Tahoe division of the National Adult Baseball Association. The season starts the first week of May and will include approximately 19 games as well as some nonleague games added during the season. Most games are played at North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista, with 10:30 a.m. start times on Sundays. The season will end with members of the Braves and Tahoe Twins playing for their third NABA World Championship in Phoenix the first week of October. Cost is $150 for the season. Cost is $4 per session. A blend of tennis, badminton and table tennis, pickleball is played with a wooden or composite racket and a wiffle ball. Adult softball leagueThe Truckee-Donner Recreation andamp; Park District is offering its summer adults softball leagues, with returning team registration available now and new team registration starting April 16. Cost is $620 for a menandamp;#8217;s team is $620 and $520 for a coed team, with a $140 playerandamp;#8217;s fee due at the first game. The menandamp;#8217;s season starts May 21. Coed begins May 29.
