Sugar Bowl to operate seven days a week starting Dec. 17

DONNER SUMMIT, Calif. and#8212; The recent cold temperatures have made it possible to run snow guns 24 hours a day at Sugar Bowl, keeping snowmaking crews busy in an effort to open the Donner Summit resort full time.

The results are the opening of additional terrain at Sugar Bowl, and starting Saturday, Dec. 17, the resort will operate seven days a week.

It will spin Jerome Hill Express, Nob Hill, Christmas Tree Express and White Pine this coming weekend, providing sufficient terrain for all levels of ability. The resort also plans to open the Caboose Terrain Park for the weekend, with medium and large features acessed via the Emigrant Gap run.

Skiers and riders should stay tuned to http://www.sugarbowl.com for all current information, including projected lift openings and terrain status. Early-season operating plans are dependent upon conditions.
