Tahoe Games Bike Nights making Friday stop in Tahoe City

Staff report

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — This year, On Course Events has teamed up with the Lake Tahoe Golf Course and Tahoe Center for Orthopedics to bring South Lake Tahoe's newest bike series to life.

And this weekend, the series makes a stop in Tahoe City.

Tahoe Games Bike Nights centers on cross-country night bike races that aim to elevate action sports at Lake Tahoe.

The new series began on July 31 at South Lake Tahoe, with monthly events through September.

This Friday's event will take place at the Tahoe City Golf Course, 251 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City.

The family friendly bike race will feature an illuminated course that spans across the golf course, over fairways, into the rough, through sand traps and over bridges with the occasional cart path.
