Truckee grad Lashbrook makes All-Conference at Monterey

SEASIDE, Calif. and#8212; Truckee High grad Melanie Lashbrook, a junior at Cal State Monterey Bay, was named to the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Second Team at middle blocker.

Monterey Bay teammate Rheann Fall, also a junior, was named to the First Team at outside hitter.

Lashbrook earns her conference honor after compiling a .301 attack average and 75 blocks. Lashbrook gave a stellar performance in the five-set victory over rival San Francisco State on Nov. 2, accumulating 19 kills on 32 attempts for a .438 attack percentage while serving up four aces.

Both juniors were named CCAA Player of the Week this season after leading the Otters to their best year in program history, recording 15 regular-season victories and 12 conference wins.
