Truckee volleyball | Wolverines fall in straight sets at Lowry

The Truckee volleyball team lost a league match in straight sets at Lowry on Friday, 16-25, 17-25, 10-25.

The loss dropped the Wolverines to 8-3 in Northern Division I-A play, in third place, with four matches remaining.

Elko leads the league at 12-0 and is followed by Lowry, which improved to 10-1 with the win over Truckee. South Tahoe and Dayton are both 6-6 and battling for the fourth and final playoff berth.

Truckee has a tough slate of matches to close out the regular season. The Wolverines hit the road to face Elko on Friday, Spring Creek on Saturday and South Tahoe next Thursday. They're also scheduled to host a makeup match against Lowry on Nov. 1.

The Northern Division I-A regional tournament is scheduled for Nov. 8-9 at Lowry High School in Winnemucca.

The top two teams from the Northern and Southern regional tournaments advance to the state championship tournament Nov. 14-15 at Hug High School in Reno
