Truckee volleyball | Wolverines sweep past Greenwave

The Truckee volleyball team improved to 5-1 in Division I-A play with a win in straight sets over visiting Fallon on Tuesday, 25-20, 25-15, 25-23.

Truckee junior Anais Fay led the Wolverine attack with 10 kills, while Maia Dvoracek smashed eight kills, Madison Haley had five kills and Katie Fisher four.

Dvoracek, Fay and Shelby Gendreau each had two service aces. Dvoracek added two blocks and seven digs, and Fisher and Fay each had six digs.

For Fallon, which fell to 3-4 in league, Megan McCormick recorded six kills and Evan Matheson had three blocks.

The Wolverines are scheduled to host a league match against South Tahoe on Friday at 6 p.m.

The North Tahoe volleyball team, meanwhile, defeated Coleville in straight sets, 25-16, 25-23, 25-23, in a nonleague road match on Wednesday. Stats were not available.
