Wolverines, Highlanders to compete in Truckee Basketball Classic

Truckee's varsity boys basketball team is set to host seven schools at the Truckee Basketball Classic this Thursday through Saturday.
Action begins Thursday at 3 p.m. with Colfax against Excel Christian. Incline and Dayton follow at 4:30 p.m. and are followed by Lassen-Silver Stage at 6 p.m. and Truckee-Pyramid Lake at 7:30 p.m.
The tournament continues Friday with the same start times and concludes Saturday with the consolation championship at 1 p.m. and the championship at 2:30 p.m.
The seventh-place game is Saturday at 10 a.m. and is followed by the third-place game at 11:30 a.m.
If they they get past Pyramid Lake in the first round, the Wolverines will face the winner between Lassen and Silver Stage in the second round Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The Highlanders, who are already off to a 1-0 start after defeating Sacramento Adventist 80-53 this past Saturday, will face the winner between Colfax and Excel Christian on Friday at 6 p.m. should they get past Dayton.
