Standard Filmandamp;#8217;s andamp;#8216;TB20andamp;#8217; opens Saturday at Squaw

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. andamp;#8212; The time to start thinking about winter for Tahoe is right after Labor Day. The West Coast Premiere of Standard Filmsandamp;#8217; andamp;#8220;TB20andamp;#8221; at the Resort at Squaw Creek is Saturday, Sept. 17. andamp;#8220;TB20andamp;#8221; will debut in front of 10,000 snowboard enthusiasts one night earlier at Red Rocks in Colorado. More than 8,000 are expected for the producerandamp;#8217;s hometown debut.Standard Filmsandamp;#8217; Waide Hoyt said the film has scenes from Tahoe resorts Alpine Meadows and Sierra-at-Tahoe and the backcountry from the Sierra Buttes to Ebbetts Pass.An after-party will have athlete appearances and autographs by Kevin Jones, Lonnie Kauk, Aaron Biittner with music by IJV.An institution in action sports, press materials say, Standard Films has been capturing the essence of snowboarding since 1991, beginning with the iconic andamp;#8220;TBandamp;#8221; series that defined a genre of filmmaking. Standard Filmsandamp;#8217; legacy of portraying the progression of snowboarding through acclaimed film continues with TB20. The newest HD film by Mike Hatchett and Travis Robb, andamp;#8220;TB20andamp;#8221; marks the 20th annual release from Standard Films. Following the showing of andamp;#8220;TB20,andamp;#8221; there will be cast and crew on site along with music by IJV. Doors open at 7:45 pm and the show starts at 9 pm. Tickets are on sale now at all Porterandamp;#8217;s locations (Tahoe City andamp; Truckee) and Thin Air Motorsports. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
