Sugar Bowl’s historic lodge opens Summit Spa

The Summit Spa has opened its doors for business in the historic Lodge at Sugar Bowl. A newly remodeled section of the classic hotel now hosts two rooms for massage and therapeutic treatments. Experienced, professional therapists are on board for 55 and 85-minute treatments that include sports, Swedish, deep tissue, Shiatsu and even hot stone therapy. Prime the body for a day on the hill or relax sore muscles after a day at play. The spa is a welcom addition for Sugar Bowl skiers and hotel guests and is also open to the public. Reservations have been strong.

Spa guests may take a free gondola ride across a scenic meadow to access the Village area and Summit Spa. For reservations call (530) 426-6742. For more information visit, resort activities.

Sugar Bowl Resort, in operation since 1939, is located on Tahoe’s Donner Summit off I-80. It is the closest major resort on the western front of the Sierra’s, offering an average of 500 inches annual snowfall.
