Sunny and warmer today and Thursday, stormy weather this weekend
April 16, 2008
High pressure will dominate the weather pattern for the next few days with sunny skies and a warming trend in daytime temperatures.
After a chilly start this morning look for afternoon temperatures to rise into the lower to mid 50s with light northeast winds to 10 mph.
Lows tonight are expected to drop into the upper teens to mid 20s around the lake and in the 30s at the upper elevations as a strong temperature inversion develops.
Thursday should be the best day of the week for outdoor activities under sunny skies, light winds and highs reaching the lower to mid 60s at lake level.
Don’t get to comfortable with the above normal temperatures later this week because winter weather is scheduled to return this weekend.
A large low pressure system is forecast to drop south along the Pacific Northwest coast on Friday bringing increasing clouds and winds to the Tahoe area.
