Super Bowl raffle to support Gene Upshaw Memorial Golf Classic
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Raffle tickets are on sale now for the chance to win an all-expense paid trip for two to Super Bowl XLVIII.
The raffle prize, donated by the NFL, will support the Gene Upshaw Memorial Golf Classic, July 14-15, at the Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing.
This celebrity tournament is the signature event for the memorial fund established in the football great’s name.
The winner receives coach airfare for two people, hotel accommodations for four nights, two tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII at the Met Life Stadium, and two tickets to the NFL Experience and the Madden Bowl. Second prize is a custom Xbox 360 from the 2013 Madden Bowl and an assortment of 13 games from EA Sports. Third prize is a GoPro video camera. Cost is $100 per ticket with 300 tickets being sold.
Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation; the Gene Upshaw Memorial Tahoe Forest Cancer Center; Tahoe Center for Health & Sports Performance; Golf Club at Gray’s Crossing; and Old Greenwood Clubhouse.

Gene’s wife Terri and sons Justin and Daniel established the Gene Upshaw Memorial Fund to recognize the extraordinary care he received at Tahoe Forest Hospital. The family partnered with Tahoe Forest Health System to provide funding for health programs and research.
