Suspected car burglar nabbed

Staff ReportsTruckee Police arrested a suspected vehicle burglar on July 21, a man investigators believe may have been responsible for a week-long string of four downtown vehicle robberies.Valdivia Cazares, 24, was arrested at approximately 6 p.m. near Truckee Regional Park after a short manhunt. The search began when a Blue Coyote Restaurant employee reported spotting a man smashing a vehicle’s window outside of the restaurant. Sometime later, Truckee Detective CeCe Rose and Officer Roy Richner found Cazares walking through the bushes next to River View Court. He was detained without incident and identified by witnesses as the burglary suspect, according to police reports.Cazares was booked into the Nevada County Jail on charges of burglary to a vehicle and his bail was set at $50,000.
