Tahoe area health officials to hold discussion on swine flu

TRUCKEE ” Public health officials from Placer and Nevada counties as well as the Tahoe Forest Hospital will be holding an upcoming discussion about the swine flu epidemic and other critical health issues.

The talk will be held on Wednesday, May 13, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., at the Sierra Mountain Middle School, 11603 Donner Pass Road.

Questions that will be raised during the discussion include:

– What processes do we have in place when faced with a potential epidemic like Swine Flu? and

– What other health issues are urgent in our community?
