TAHOE CITY ” Contract negotiations between the Tahoe City Public Utility District’s contract and the Tahoe Cross Country Ski Education Association are going well, according to Alan Harry, the public information officer for the PUD.

Operation of the Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area is scheduled to expire April 30, 2009. Harry reported that a 10-year contract has been prepared for review by the District’s Parks and Recreation Committee at their May 20, 2009 meeting.

The TCPUD is holding a Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting on May 20, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the Highlands Community Center to hear a presentation and staff’s recommendation to extend the contract.

The Committee will take public comment on the extension of the contract and invites any community members who have concerns or issues regarding the extension of this contract to attend.
