Placer County Supervisor Jennifer Montgomery spoke about her role in the political system to fourth- and fifth-grade Cub Scouts in Tahoe City, Friday, Jan. 23. They are currently working on their Webelo Citizenship Pin. The meeting helped them learn more about their local government and citizenship opportunities. Melinda Barton, Webelo Den Leader, said the scouts asked many questions, and found out Montgomery grew up with parents who were involved in the community. Barton also extends thanks from the group to Montgomery for sharing her time.
