Tahoe Comedy North returns April 12 with Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos Rodriguez

CRYSTAL BAY, Nev. — Carlos Rodriguez — voted “Best Comic in Sacramento” two years in a row — is headlining the latest installment of Tahoe Comedy North next week.

Rodriguez was thrown into comedy by being born a baby boy in a large family of mostly girl cousins. He quickly became a fast-talking entertainer.

You’ll see his inner child come out with all the passion, excitement and energy of a new performer, but with the grace and comfort of a seasoned pro.

Rodriguez brings a clever, silly and approachable voice to comedy. In a fun and relatable way, his observational humor touches beyond daily occurrences to deep-rooted memories of his childhood.

Rodriguez has won multiple comedy competitions; was voted “Best Comic in Sacramento” two years in a row by the Sacramento News and Review; and was voted “Best of the Fest” at the 2016 SLO Comedy Festival. He is featured on the “Doug Loves Movies” podcast, “Brent Ernst” podcast and Jamie Foxx’s “Foxx Hole.”

Hosting the show is the hilarious Rex Meredith, who delivers stand-up comedy, musical impressions, original characters, and a variety of hysterical stories.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Crystal Bay Casino. The show is at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 day of show and can be purchased by phone at 775-833-6333 or online at http://www.CrystalBayCasino.com
