Tahoe community forums resume July 30 at Granlibakken

TAHOE CITY, Calif. andamp;#8212; The second in a series of Placer County public forums for local residents will be held on July 30 at the Granlibakken Resort andamp; Conference Center in Tahoe City.The purpose of the forums is to reach out to the North Lake Tahoe community and take feedback on topics of interest to the community. The first forum was held on Tuesday, June 30, at the North Tahoe Events Center in Kings Beach. The next Tahoe Forum will be held on Thursday, July 30, at Granlibakken Resort andamp; Conference Center, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A detailed agenda will be sent prior to the meeting, but is scheduled to include presentations by the Tahoe City Public Utility District and North Tahoe Fire Protection District, as well as issues specific to Placer County. If there is a topic you are interesting in learning more about during the July 30 meeting, respond to this message or e-mail your request to placertahoeforums@placer.ca.gov. At the June meeting, there were presentations from the North Tahoe Fire Protection District, North Tahoe Public Utility District, as well as Placer County staff. Topics discussed were the county budget, community enhancement project status, public safety and the Kings Beach Commercial Core Improvement Project.
