Tahoe Forest Hospital to showcase local photos at new unit
Tahoe Forest Health System is proud to celebrate the completion of its final Measure C construction projects, which include the new Joseph Family Women & Newborn Care Unit.
TFHS would like to extend an invitation to local photographers to showcase their work in the new facility, opening Fall 2016.
Photos will be displayed in the Tahoe Forest Health System lobby Aug. 8-15 and the public may vote on the People’s Choice Award photo.
Twelve photos will be selected to hang on the walls of the Joseph Family Women and Newborn Care Unit in addition to one People’s Choice Award photo.
Guidelines for submissions are as follows:
Un-framed photos only on a 2-inch mat.
Preferred images of spring, summer and fall in a Truckee-Tahoe landscape.
Preferred images without wildlife or portraiture.
Photos to evoke healing, warmth, comfort.
Mountains and meadows, rivers and streams, lakes and skies.
Photos are to be no smaller than 16 by 20 and no larger than 20 by 30.
No more than two photo submissions allowed per artist.
Limited to first 30 photographers/artists who submit application.
Deadline for photo delivery: Aug. 1, 2016.
Apply online at tfhd.com/photofair. Deliver all photos to: Tahoe Forest Health System Foundation, 10976 Donner Pass Road, Truckee.
A small stipend of $100 will be awarded for each photo chosen. Tahoe Forest Health System will frame selected photos.
Framing will include artist name and photo title.
