Tahoe residents arrested for burglary

TAHOE VISTA “-Police arrested two Tahoe Vista residents recently for alleged burglary and check fraud.

On Dec. 22 Truckee Police began investigating Robert McKelvy, 45, and Kathryn Ann McKelvy, 49, of Tahoe Vista, for possible check fraud, according to a press release.

The two allegedly purchased more than $1,700 in merchandise from an electronics store with a bad check, according to the release.



Detectives found the allegedly stolen merchandise at a pawn shop in Reno, and obtained a search warrant for the McKelvy’s residence on North Lake Boulevard in conjunction with Placer County Sheriff’s Office deputies, according to the release.

Officers allegedly recovered false identification, possible stolen property, pawn slips for large amounts of jewelry and suspected heroin and syringes, according to the release.
