The Rotary Club of Truckee’s annual Crab and Pasta Feed proved to be a successful fundraiser for the club and the Family Resource Center of Truckee.

The annual event raised more than $7,600 from ticket sales. Auction proceeds, which totaled nearly $12,000, benefited the Family Resource Center of Truckee, a nonprofit providing education and resources for families and individuals to be self-sufficient and contributing members of the community.



“This was a very well-attended event that netted more than $19,000 for the community,” said Steve Randall, club coordinator of the Crab and Pasta Feed. Tahoe Women’s Services invites skiers and snowboarders to ski Northstar-at-Tahoe for $25 on Sunday, April 5, 2009. By purchasing an advance $25 all-day ticket you will support Tahoe Women’s Services, the only agency in the North Lake Tahoe/Truckee region of California and Nevada providing support for programs to reduce domestic violence and sexual assault. Northstar has generously donated 1,000 tickets with 100 percent of the ticket proceeds to benefit Tahoe Women’s Services. The Monthly Pancake Breakfast fundraiser to benefit the Senior Meals program and the Meals on Wheels will be held on April 5 from 8 until 11:30 a.m. in the dining room of the Truckee Donner Senior Apartments, 10040 Estates Dr. in Truckee. This month’s sponsor is the Soroptimist. Chris Nelson and his Barber Shop Quartet “OK Chorale” will perform at 10 a.m. Open to everyone! Adults $7, children $3. Come early.
