Dear Reader,The Christmas tree is still up, the economy is down. The holidays are past, with a few lingering pounds perhaps, and the new year begins. As our nation anticipates an era of change, we here at the Sierra Sun launch a new section as a resource for change within yourself, your family, your community.Our weekly Wednesday Health andamp; Wellness section will address the whole person, body, mind and spirit. Individual vitality is the first link in a chain of robust relationships, sound families and a grounded community.We will look at national health issues, how they effect our lives and investigate the opportunities we have locally to implement change. The Health andamp; Wellness section will provide hints and tips from local health practitioners, exercise gurus, therapists and the Tahoe Forest Hospital Health System, covering sports fitness, alternative medicine, mental health, family matters and personal enlightenment.January is the month to eat right and exercise.
