TAHOE-TRUCKEE — If anticipation has been crawling through your veins as you’ve patiently waited all year for this month to come — your wait is finally over.
Not only does September bring about a change in weather, and a week celebrating Banned Books, it is also National Library Card Month.
Join the Nation in this month-long event by making a stop at your local library to get your very own library card! See you at the library.
Incline Village:
Sept. 22, 4:30 p.m. Bilingual Story Time: Join us for stories and activities in English and Spanish!
Sept. 27, 5-6:30 p.m. Tiny Home Panel: Join the discussion on this popular home style with experts on building codes and those that have built Tiny Homes.
Kings Beach:
Sept. 22, 3-4 p.m. Cut the Cord: Learn how to access programming without cable or satellite.
Sept. 27, 10:30-11 a.m. Preschool Story Time. Apples theme! Books, songs, feltboard and a craft! Join the fun.
You could win 2 ice cream cone gift certificates if your “Bookface” entry is chosen. Contest ends on Sept. 30.
Truckee Library:
Truckee Library Storytimes: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Toddler Time, for ages 18 months to 3 years; Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Babes in Bookland, for ages 6 months to 2 years; Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. Preschool Stories, for ages 3 and up; Introducing Stay & Play for a half-hour after each Storytime.
Spanish Storytime is on a break, through the end of the year. Please join us again for bilingual stories, songs and rhymes in the New Year, last Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m.
