TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; As her time as school board president draws to a close, Area 3 Trustee Kristy Olk talks about the reasons surrounding her resignation and what her hopes are for the district as it moves forward with four new trustees on Dec. 8.

Olk said her decision, announced at the Tahoe Unified School District board meeting earlier this month, is a result of her new job working for the Resort as Squaw Creek and a result of wanting to spend more time with her family.

Below is a question-and-answer discussion with Olk as she bids farewell to the district she has served the last six years.
