Tahoe Truckee schools trustee Bev Ducey still undecided on November election

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Trustee Bev Ducey announced Tuesday night sheand#8217;s still undecided on running in the November election as an incumbent for her Area 5 school board seat.

and#8220;I donand#8217;t have a simple answer for you. For the moment Iand#8217;m still undecided,and#8221; Ducey said in a Tuesday night e-mail. She said she will follow up later with greater details.

Should Ducey decide not to run for her seat it would leave her seat and the two other trustee positions and#8212; Area 1, held by Pat Gibbons-Johnson, and Area 4, held by Lisa Mohun and#8212; open without incumbents, as Mohun is relocating out of her area and Gibbons-Johnson, appointed earlier this year to temporarily fill resigned Trustee Bill Krausand#8217; spot, has said she will not run.

The candidate filing period for Californiaand#8217;s Nov. 2 elections began Monday and closes Friday, Aug. 6. If no incumbent files, per state law, the filing period will extend a week.
