TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Tahoe Yoga and Wellness Center will proudly collaborate with and host a 200-hour YogaWorks Teacher Training this fall at their studio on Donner Pass Road

The training will begin Sept. 20, 2013, meeting once a month until March 9, 2014. Lakshmi (Angie) Norwood is the lead instructor and will be assisted by TYWC’s owner Dr. Walter Lightner.

Lakshmi Norwood is an extremely accomplished yogini with a wealth of experience. She holds her YogaAlliance 500-ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) Certificate and an M.Ed. in Counseling, and is a faculty member of the YogaWorks Teacher Training Department as well as a certified Structural Yoga Therapist.

“Teacher Training is a unique opportunity for students to deepen their relationship with yoga, their understanding of themselves, and discover meaning and purpose in their lives,” said Lakshmi. “Having completed several high-quality training programs early in my career, I can say with experience that the Yogaworks Teacher Training provides students with intelligent, well-articulated teaching principles and cultivates a deep attitude of compassion, making them a valuable asset in today’s growing marketplace.”

There will be a free “Meet the YogaWorks Teacher Trainer” event on Friday, Aug. 2, 4-6 p.m. at TYWC. There, Lakshmi will hold a YogaWorks style class and Q&A for any prospective students for the course this fall.
