Tahoe/Truckee Dining for Schools cards on sale Aug. 27

TRUCKEE, Calif. andamp;#8212; Tahoe Truckee Excellence in Education Foundationandamp;#8217;s Dining for Schools Cards go on sale Aug. 27, 2010, offering card holders discounts on meals at 43 local restaurants. Each card purchase raises money for the foundation, which supports the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. The foundation is pleased to welcome two new restaurants to the program this year, Christy Hill in Tahoe City and Pizza on the Hill in Tahoe Donner.The Dining for Schools Card costs $45 and entitles the bearer to 50 percent off any individual dinner entree at each participating restaurant in the Truckee and North Tahoe area. The card is non-transferable but may be used an unlimited number of times at any participating restaurant during the valid period. Cards are valid Sunday through Thursday only, (holidays excluded) Sept. 12 – Dec. 16, 2010, and April 10 – June 9, 2011.
