Tahoma death called ‘suspicious’ by authorities

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred inside a home Wednesday morning on the county line in Tahoma.

“It is a suspicious death with a gunshot involved,” said El Dorado County sheriff’s Lt. Les Lovell. “Details are sketchy. The investigation is going to take a little leg work.”

Lovell said that although the death was due to a gun shot wound, he would not call it a homicide. He would not say if the death was due to suicide.

He said investigators should have more information in the coming days.
