TDPUD reviews budget

A proposed 1999 budget being reviewed by the Truckee-Donner Public Utility District Board of Directors would maintain the district’s current water and electric rates, marking the 12th consecutive year without an electricity rate hike.

The proposed budget for 1999 provides for improvements in the district’s electric distribution system in Truckee’s downtown area and Tahoe Donner.

On Wednesday, Dec. 2, the TDPUD board of directors will conduct a public hearing on the proposed budget, at 7 p.m. in the district boardroom on Donner Pass Road. The public is invited to attend.
