Temperatures slowly rise, more clouds this weekend

Another sunny day on tap as high pressure retains control of the weather pattern today.

Highs today are expected to climb into the upper 40s to lower 50s around the lake and into the mid 40s at the 8,000 foot resort level.

Light winds are forecast at both late level and the upper elevations. Lows tonight are expected to drop into the teens around the lake and the mid 20s in the upper elevations with the usual temperature inversion.

Friday will see and increase in high clouds along with some afternoon cumulus as a weak upper level low pressure system approaches the central California coast. Highs on Friday are expected to reach the lower 50s with light south winds to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Looks like more clouds this weekend but no real chance of rain or snow until Monday night into Tuesday of next week according to the latest computer forecast model prognostication.
