The first tenet of journalism: Though shalt not mess up someone’s name.

So I apologize. I am a bad journalist.

I did not write down, nor do I recall the name of “the artist” whose studio we visited. However, once I figure it out, I will be sure to get it in this blog.

The short story is, “the artist” sells a tea cup for 2,000,000 yen, or $20,000. Through a connection from the Tajimi Rotary Club president, Kato san (who was the second female Rotarian we have seen on this trip), we were able to throw some pottery in “This Guy”‘s studio. Apparently, Tako san has purchased quite a few mugs from “the artist,” and she was our connection into his studio, which is rarely (if not, never) opened to the public.
