When did you open for the season?

Dec. 3.

How long is the rink open?



Through March but it depends on weather.

How many seasons has the rink been in Truckee?




This is our seventh season.

What days of the week are you open?

During the holidays we are open seven days a week but usually Tuesday through Sunday.

What type of skates do you rent?

Hockey and figure skates. The guys always want the hockey skates and the girls want the figure skates.

Which are easier to use?

The figure skates.

What sizes do they come in?

The smallest is a size 7 and the largest is a men’s 14.

How much does it cost to skate?

It costs $4 for a resident and $5 for everyone else. Renting skates costs $2.

Any advice for first-timers?

You might want to bring some protective gear. Don’t expect too much but expect to have a good time.

How old was the youngest person you’ve seen skating?

We had someone who was only one or two years old today.

What other activities go on at the ice rink?

We will have ice hockey and ice dancing lessons starting next month. Private and group ice skating lessons.
