The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe earns AAA Five Diamond Award

For 2011, according to a press release, 124 lodgings and 55 restaurants received the Five Diamond rating. The early rating system evolved into the Diamond Rating System for lodgings in 1976 and was rolled out for restaurants between 1986 and 1991.
