Full-time students at Truckee’s Custom Learning Academy enjoyed an educational outing with Alpine Skills International on Sept. 20. Students spent seven hours learning climbing skills under the direction of Rich Stull and Tobin Vadasz on Donner Summit’s “School Rock.”
The field trip was one of the many extensive opportunities offered by Custom Learning Academy, which includes ful-time school, courses for credit, tutoring, Homework Club and Kindergarten Enrichment.
Truckee’s private school, directed by Lisa Crosby, M. Ed., is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Call 587-5470 for details or visit their website at customlearning.org.
