With six days until the first day of spring, the 10-day forecast calls for more cold weather, wind and snow, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm that hit Truckee Monday night into Tuesday dumped approximately 15 to 19 inches of new snow at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. The National Weather Service said higher elevations could see more than 2 feet of snow before the storm moves out by Wednesday.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of snow. Highs will range from 31 to 41 and lows from 14 to 19. Thursday is forecast to be mostly cloudy and brisk with a chance of snow. Highs 30 to 40.
