Today’s weather: Partly cloudy and mild through the weekend

Tom Cylke
Sun news service

Several weak frontal systems will attempt to break through the dominant high pressure ridge resulting in mostly mid and high level clouds across the area this weekend.

Highs today are forecast to reach the low 50s despite the cloud cover with light winds. Lows tonight are only expected to drop into the 20s with the moderating influence of clouds.

Little change in the overall weather pattern for Saturday and Sunday with high temperatures reaching the lower 50s and lows in the upper teens to mid 20s around the lake under partly cloudy skies.

The next chance of seeing any rain or snow in the Tahoe area will be Monday night into Tuesday as a weak to moderate frontal system pushes across the area. Stay tuned to see how much snow area resorts could pick up with this Pacific front.
