Town council considers watercraft rental rules

Truckee Town Council will consider regulations for watercraft rentals on Donner Lake during its meeting tonight.

Town Manager Steve Wright said the discussion will be a general one about concessionaire contracts on the lake.

In other business, town council will:

–View a presentation on transit services by public works director Tom Covey and Area Transit Management general manager Ken Daley.

— View a presentation on a workshop about the proposed third access road for Tahoe Donner, by town engineer Dan Wilkins.

— Consider the scope of work and the technical consultant for the Truckee River Quality Assessment Grant.

— Consider a memorandum of understanding with Nevada County regarding administration of affordable housing services.

–Consider authorizing the town engineer to sign two change orders for Town-Wide Overlay Contract No. 1.

— Consider award of the bid for the Palisades Drive/Highway 267 traffic signal.

— Consider designation of the second annual Truckee Railroad Days, Sept. 18-19, as a community event.

— Consider an appeal of a zoning administrator decision to approve a tentative parcel map in the Sugar Pines area.

–Review fees for Area Transit Management.

— Consider adopting rules and procedures for the traffic impact fee program.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Town Hall.
