TRPA approves plan to collect boater information

LAKE TAHOE In a unanimous decision, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board on Wednesday approved a plan to collect data about Lake Tahoe boaters in 2009.The plan the blue boating program is part of a larger shorezone program aimed at regulating buoys and piers and mitigating boating effects on Lake Tahoe.The board met at The Chateau in Incline Village, where it heard an overview of the shorezone program including budget and scheduling assumptions the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board could take action on the items today.
