TRPA sets new winter hours for west, north shore customer service office

Sun News Service

In response to a seasonal decline in foot traffic at its permitting centers, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency has set winter customer service hours for its north and west shore office in Tahoe City.

Beginning the week of Dec. 10, the office at 3080 North Lake Boulevard will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. The office is currently staffed Tuesday through Friday. The normal schedule will resume in spring.

“We’ve worked diligently to improve our customer service on the north shore and we hope with ample communication, the public will be able to work around the new winter schedule,” said Julie Regan, TRPA Communications and Legislative Affairs Chief. “Customers will still be able to contact TRPA staff during regular business hours and will be able to view files and receive other services by advance appointment at the North Shore office on any business day. When the seasonal lull is over, we will restore office hours to the normal schedule.”

To expand customer service for west and north shore residents and property owners, TRPA opened the Tahoe City office last January. The same suite of services is available Monday through Friday at TRPA’s main headquarters in Stateline.

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency cooperatively leads the effort to preserve, restore, and enhance the unique natural and human environment of the Lake Tahoe Region now and in the future. For additional information, call Dennis Oliver at (775) 589-5235.
