Truckee artist to hold opening reception, book signing

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Truckee artist and designer Sara Zimmerman will celebrate her newest artworks and book release at the opening of her “Tahoe Macro and Micro” exhibit on July 5, 4-8 p.m. at Riverside Studios in downtown Truckee.
Sara’s “Tahoe Macro and Micro” works emphasize the idea of what energy looks like in Tahoe, showcasing how energy at all levels exhibits similar behaviors. Additionally, Zimmerman will sign copies celebrating the release of her first comic book “Unearthed Comics: Un-earthing the Universe, One Comic at a Time” at the show. “Unearthed Comics” features a full-color collection of more than 60-plus business, parenting, marriage, science, yoga, environment, and health comics.
An opening reception for the artist and book signing will be part of First Fridays on Friday, July 5. Come to this combination art show/ book signing to get your book signed, see some art, and for a chance to win some free books and more.

May 20 update: Nevada County COVID-19 cases rise by 66
Nevada County recorded 66 new COVID-19 cases on Friday making the new total 16,474. There were 140 active cases, 16,194 people released from isolation, one person hospitalized locally and 140 total deaths.
