Truckee CHP makes several major arrests in November

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Due to increased enforcement, Truckee-area highway patrol officers made several drug- and weapons-related arrests in November, officials said.

Truckee California Highway Patrol Area Commander Timothy Malone asked officers to be more aware of criminal activity during routine traffic stops, according to a CHP press release.

In November, Truckee officers seized more than 240 pounds of marijuana, 2 pounds of methamphetamine, $17,650 in suspected drug money, hundreds of doses of illegally obtained prescription medications and several loaded weapons.

“The Truckee Area of the CHP will continue to be vigilant in its enforcement efforts to keep the travelers of Interstate 80 safe,” Sgt. Randy Fisher said in a statement.
