Truckee Civil Air Patrol celebrates Memorial Day
TRUCKEE, Calif. – On May 26, 2023 members of the Truckee Civil Air Patrol composite squadron participated in the Memorial Day observance. The Truckee Civil Air Patrol composite squadron provides both training and experience in leadership, personal development as well as technical skills.
Cadets who range in age from 12-18 performed the yearly color guard to honor, respect and memorialize those who gave their lives while serving in the US military. Truckee Civil Air Patrol squadron NV 027 pays its respects to the fallen with a color guard ceremony each Memorial Day.
The Truckee Civil Air Patrol composite squadron which is based at the Truckee Airport provides aerospace education, emergency response capacity, diverse aviation and ground services, as well as promotion of air, space and cyber power.

The Civil Air Patrol is an auxiliary of the United States Air Force and serves the greater Truckee and Northern Nevada regions. Notable missions include assisting with emergency response as well as assisting in the air search for 16-year-old Kiely Rodni in August 2022.
Additionally Civil Air Patrol Squadron supports the yearly space camp mission to Mars and stands ready to assist with any needed natural disaster response.
