Truckee Council, Planning Commission to host July 11 workshop on Planned Community 2

The Truckee Town Council and Planning Commission will host a workshop on the Final Economic Report for the Planned Community 2 Specific Plan on Tuesday, July 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Truckee Town Hall, 11570 Donner Pass Road.

The purpose of the workshop is to receive a presentation by Steve Wahlstrom from the firm of Applied Development Economics regarding the findings contained in the report. The public is encouraged to attend the workshop to obtain information and d ask questions.

The economic analysis is being conducted to assist the Town in understanding the economic implications of the proposed Planned Community 2 Specific Plan including potential impacts to existing business districts, the region’s ability to absorb the proposed commercial development and the potential economic benefits of the proposal. The final report analyzes the proposed revised project phasing and analyzes the plan based upon anticipated future growth in the region.
