Truckee downtown merchants to host Art & Soul art walk

TRUCKEE, Calif. — On Saturday, Sept. 19, from 1-5 p.m., the Truckee Downtown Merchants Association will present the inaugural Art & Soul Downtown Truckee ArtWalk.

Art & Soul combines visual art, live music, artist demonstrations, craft beer tastings, small bites and more in Historic Downtown Truckee.

Stroll through Art & Soul’s 30 stops celebrating Truckee’s artists. Ticket holders will enjoy interactive artist demonstrations, craft beer/wine/coffee tastings and small bites of local fare.



Many locations will also provide shopping/drink discounts as well.

Art & Soul will take over downtown Truckee’s sidewalks and the new plazas with sculptures, live music and artist demonstrations.



Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Group tickets are also available.

Advance tickets can be purchased at http://www.historictruckee.com or at Cabona’s and the Cooking Gallery, both in Truckee.

A portion of the event’s proceeds goes to Arts For the Schools.

“This isn’t your typical city art walk,” said Cassie Hebel, Executive Director for the TDMA, “We are celebrating our entire local artisan community including Truckee’s amazing photographers, oil painters, jewelry designers, musicians and culinary artists.”
